Note: All services require a meet and greet prior to the first booking. This is how we make sure we are a great fit for your pet and your family before anything is scheduled.
One-on-One
Private Dog Walking
Every walk at Wholesome Hounds is completely private. Your dog walks with us alone. No pack walks, no strangers added to the route, no shortcuts. We build a consistent schedule around your dog’s pace, energy level, and individual needs so your dog always knows what to expect and who is showing up at the door.
Private walks are available in Hudson, Sudbury, Stow, Marlborough, and surrounding communities.

What’s Included
Every walk includes a private leash walk on your dog’s established route, a post-walk photo or update sent directly to you, and a note on anything worth knowing: energy level, anything we noticed, anything that came up. You will never be left wondering how the walk went.
At Your Home
Drop-In Visits
Drop-in visits bring professional pet care directly to your home. Each visit is approximately 30 minutes and includes feeding, fresh water, a potty break or litter box service, playtime, and a welfare check. We leave a brief update after every visit so you always know your pet was seen and cared for.

Vacation Care
If you are traveling and your pet will be home alone, we require a minimum number of visits per day to ensure consistent care, timely feeding, and regular monitoring.
- Dogs: Minimum 3 visits per day
- Cats: Minimum 1 visit per day
We are happy to help you build a schedule that fits your pet’s routine and your travel plans.
Holiday availability: Drop-in visits are generally available even on days when other services are closed. A holiday surcharge applies. Please reach out if you need care during a holiday period and we will do our best to accommodate you.

In-Home Dog Boarding
When you travel, your dog stays in our home. Not a kennel. Boarding at Wholesome Hounds means your dog sleeps in a real home, follows a real daily routine, and is cared for by the same familiar faces they already know. We keep our boarding capacity limited so that every guest receives genuine personal attention throughout their stay.
Boarding is available to dogs from Hudson, Sudbury, Stow, Marlborough, and surrounding communities. All vaccinations must be current prior to arrival.

Carefully Screened Dogs
Small-Group Dog Daycare
Dog daycare at Wholesome Hounds is a home-based, structured program for carefully selected dogs. Your dog spends the day in our home (not a commercial facility) in a small, carefully matched group, with full supervision, mandatory rest periods, and real personal attention throughout the day.
We screen every dog before enrollment. Not every dog is a good fit for group daycare, and knowing that protects every dog in our care, including yours. See our full Daycare page for complete program details and enrollment information.

Half-Day Daycare Recommended
Drop-off between 6:45 and 8:30am. Return delivery included for Hudson and Sudbury clients beginning at 11am. All other towns are welcome at the same rate with pickup at our Hudson home. |
Full-Day Daycare Very Limited
Full-day daycare is currently offered on a limited trial basis. Drop-off by 8:30am, pickup by 5pm. Late pickup until 6pm must be arranged in advance. |

Holiday Rates & Closures
A 25% holiday surcharge applies to all services during defined holiday periods. Daycare is closed on certain holidays. Boarding guests already in our care continue to receive full service throughout all holiday periods.

* Christmas Eve is a standing annual daycare closure regardless of the day of week. Holiday boarding surcharges apply to all days within the defined surcharge window.
Vaccination Requirements
All pets must have current Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations prior to receiving any service from Wholesome Hounds. Proof of vaccination is required before the first booking. These requirements exist to protect every pet in our care, including yours.
