Sound Familiar?
Does This Sound Like Your Week?
- Long workdays or office days that leave your dog home alone for hours
- Back-to-back meetings and a commute that eats into your morning
- A dog who could use real playtime and social interaction, not just a backyard
- A family schedule that doesn’t leave time for a long walk or a trip to the dog park
Small group daycare gives your dog a morning of play, company, and activity, and gives you one less thing to manage during a busy day.
Why Small Group
Why We Keep Daycare Small
We intentionally keep our daycare groups small. It means more individual attention, thoughtful compatibility between the dogs in the group, and a calmer environment than a large commercial facility. Every dog is known as an individual, not just a number moving through the day.

What a Daycare Day Feels Like
Your dog arrives in the morning and settles in alongside a small group of compatible dogs. The day includes play and social time, time outdoors exploring the yard, and built-in breaks to rest and settle before heading home. It’s a full, engaging morning followed by a calm return home.

Is This a Fit?
Is Daycare Right for Your Dog?
Small group daycare works best when every dog in the group genuinely enjoys and is comfortable in that environment. Dogs joining daycare need to be:
1 Year or Older
Spayed or Neutered
Fully Housebroken
Dog-Friendly
Comfortable in a Small Group
Thoughtful compatibility helps create a genuinely positive experience for every dog in the group, including yours.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, dogs must be spayed or neutered to join daycare.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, dogs must be at least 1 year old.
How does the first daycare day work?
Your dog’s first day gives us a real opportunity to see how they settle into the group, the routine, and the home before confirming ongoing daycare.
Do you offer transportation home?
Convenient return-home transportation may be available for daycare clients in select local areas. We’ll confirm what’s possible for your location.
Can I book daycare occasionally, or is it recurring?
Wholesome Hounds primarily serves dogs on a regular, recurring daycare schedule.
